God uses a small army to teach Gideon
that His way is perfect, even when it
doesn’t make sense.

Interaction

  Cuddle Time:

Cuddle up with your child and
pray. “Dear God, I pray that (name
of child) will grow up to trust You
with all of her heart. I pray she will
do what You say, even when she
doesn’t understand. Help her to
always believe that Your way is
perfect. We love You, God. In Jesus’
name, amen.”

JONAH 1:1–3:10
God uses a large fish to teach Jonah that
His way is perfect.

Interaction

  Bath Time:

Pretend the bathtub is the inside
of a big fish. Play with your child as
you lift her up and put her down
in the tub. Tell her she’s being
swallowed up by a big fish! Oh, no!
What did Jonah do when he was
inside a big fish? He prayed and
told God His way is perfect! When
bath time is over, lift her up and
pretend the fish is spitting her out.

Bible Story:

GENESIS 8:1–9:17
God makes a promise to never cover
the world with water again and makes a
rainbow as a symbol of His promise.

Interaction

  Car Time:

As you drive, play the “Which Way?”
game. Each time you come to a road
sign or traffic light ask your child to
point to which way he thinks is the
right way. Respond to his choice in
a fun way with, “Yes, that is the right
way!” or with, “Oh, no! That’s the
wrong way. This is the right way!”
When you get where you are going,
hug your child and say, “God’s way is
always the right way because God’s
way is perfect!”

Week 1:

Bible Story:

GENESIS 6:8-22; 7:1-24
God tells Noah to build a huge boat
because He is going to cover the entire
world with water.

Interaction

  Play Time:

Put on your swimsuit and go outside
for some water fun. Spray a water
hose in the air and make it “rain”
on your child. Encourage your child
to run around in the “rain” while
you say, “God made it rain, just like
He said.” When you stop spraying
the water say, “God made it stop
raining, just like He said.” Hug
each other and say, “We can always
believe what God says!”
