Cuddle up with your child and pray.
“Dear God, we love You. And we
know the best way to show You
how much we love You is by loving
others. Help (name of child) to love
others. Remind him to show others
kindness by helping them when they
need it. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

room for him to sleep in when he needs
a place to stay.

Interaction

  Bath Time:

Keep working on your Happy
Helper Checklist for bath time.
Go over the checklist before each
bath, helping your child complete
it. 1. Lay out your clean clothes and
clean towel. 2. Wash your hair and
body. 3. Dry off and put on your
clean clothes. 4. Put your towel and
dirty clothes in the laundry room.
If you help your child do his Happy
Helper Checklist, he’ll be a super,
duper bath time happy helper by
the end of the month!

NEHEMIAH 1-6
Nehemiah helps lead his people to
rebuild the wall around his home town.

Interaction

  Car Time:

As you drive, talk with your child
about one way he can be a happy
helper when you get where you are
going. Can he carry something for
you? Clean up around his seat? Help
you find an item at the store? There’s
always something a child can do to
be a happy helper! When you get
back in the car, praise your child for
completing the task and for being
such an awesome happy helper!

Week 1:

Bible Story:

RUTH 1 & 2
Ruth moves with Naomi to help her
and ends up being helped by a man
named Boaz.

Interaction

  Play Time:

Give your child a basket or a plastic
bowl. Go outside and look for
special things on the ground. You
may find a flower, a special stick, or
even a cool rock. Fill your basket
with all the things you find and then
let your child tell you about them.
Talk about how Ruth helped Naomi
by going out into the fields to look
for food every day. When she found
some she would put it in her basket
and take it home.
